Everybody let's get Stoned! (Feeling High Naturally)

Coming out of anxiety, I noticed I began to feel better and better. Not only was I not feeling anxious, but I started to feel joyous, blissful ...happy from the inside out.  This was a process for me and the pendulum seemed to swing back and forth at times sometime blissful and then later depressed or stressed out. Was I becoming manic depressive I wondered? Gradually, over the next few weeks the pendulum of emotions started to stay more firmly in the "blissful" category. I was unwinding the physical, mental and environmental stresses in my life and finding a place of balance. I eventually came to a place where I even started to feel "high", when I was relaxing. When I say high I mean I felt "marijuana high"!! At first I was a little concerned about this..could this be normal? So I later I had blood tests with my doctor to check it out. Everything turned out to be fine. There was nothing out of the ordinary with the tests. I came to realize that this was a completely natural state of being, we are supposed to feel good. But, I wanted to find out why, so I started learning more about our bodies natural systems and how they might be similar to the effects produced by Cannabis (Marijuana).

Here is some of what I have learned:

Our bodies have a built in Cannabinoid System.  What is a Cannabinoid System?

The human body has Cannabinoid receptors that are specifically designed to receive Cannabinoids.

Cannabinoids are one of the chemical components of the Cannabis plant (Marijuana). THC is the psychoactive component.

Cannabinoids also occur and are produced naturally in our body.

Cannabinoid receptors are located mainly in the brain, liver and sex organs.

These videos explain it in a bit more detail.

So you can see from the videos that our bodies have this system built in! I feel that by balancing the the nervous system and reducing and eliminating stress through things like diet, meditation, yoga, and sound therapy (to name a few) that these built in systems can begin to kick into gear and you too can feel "high", naturally.

Am I suggesting that everyone should use Cannabis or smoke pot? No. Especially because it is still illegal in many places. It seems, though, that is changing.

I also feel that it can open parts of our psychological and spiritual being that one should be aware of. I think that it is powerful medicine, and just as you wouldn't drink cough syrup indiscriminately, Cannabis should also not be looked at as a frivolous recreational escape. It could also be counterproductive and actually cause anxiety depending on the person's current states of stress and mental well being.

In my case, I feel that just being aware of what it felt like to use Cannabis, gave me the reference point for understanding what was happening in my body as these systems began to kick into gear. The bottom line, I feel, is for each of us to begin a plan of reducing stress and there are very real and blissful benefits to be had!

Just a personal note: There is nothing new under the sun. I am just attempting to present info. here that has helped me. I hope to present it in a clear way based on my experience with anxiety which was a spiritual, psychological and emotional awakening for me. In retrospect of this experience I have been reading as much as I could to come to a deeper and more grounded understanding of this seemingly mystical thing that happened to me (so that I could share it with you).  I'm not a doctor or a scientist.  Please know this is only my experience. Yours will obviously be different, but since my experience was so similar to others I've talked to, I am hoping this may be helpful or useful to you in some way. It's also a way that I hope to share my love with you. That is my purpose here.
